# Aploris > Aploris is context management for advisory firms. Automated KM workflows curate a firm's projects into AI-ready context and enforce each client's terms on every use, so people and agents build on the firm's best past work. Aploris GmbH is based in Hamburg, Germany. It was founded by Claudius Ohrt and Kartik Sundar, whose backgrounds include Bain and ten years of building PowerPoint and Office tooling for consulting firms. ## Benefits - **Build on your best past work.** Every pitch and every deliverable starts from the firm's strongest prior work, not a blank page. - **Knowledge that stays.** People move on and models change every quarter. What the firm learned stays, and keeps growing. - **One source for people and agents.** Every consultant and every agent works from the same curated knowledge, not their own pile of files. ## The problem - **Permissions live in contracts, not systems.** SharePoint knows who can open a file, not what the client agreed it can be used for. Reuse limits, sanitization and retention terms go unchecked. - **Knowledge is locked in project sites.** Each engagement lives in its own site, open only to the team that ran it, so the rest of the firm starts from scratch. - **Version sprawl.** The check-in deck, the interim, the final and many same-day saves. Search returns all of them, and AI treats them as equally true. ## How it works 1. **Watch:** bulk-ingest deliverables, models and working files from the repositories the firm chooses (such as SharePoint and OneDrive), along with each engagement's terms, then pick up new work as it lands. Email, chats and transcripts can be added where available. 2. **Curate:** collapse every version to the one canonical file and keep only the firm's best work. A reviewer approves edge cases. 3. **Knowledge unit:** turn each piece of work into a short, structured unit (approach, benchmarks, key findings) with client details replaced by tokens, the engagement's terms attached, and links back to every source. 4. **Serve, under policy:** teams and agents use the knowledge in their existing tools and over MCP. Each engagement's terms are enforced on every use, and every use is logged. ## Key concepts - **Engagement policy:** the reuse, sanitization, retention and access terms from an engagement, attached to every knowledge unit derived from it, with an audit trail of use by people and AI. - **Knowledge unit:** a typed, structured record of one piece of work. Each insight is mapped to the exact slides, model cells and source documents behind it, in a structured index agents can navigate directly. - **Knowledge map:** a clean inventory of every project and proposal (client, target, markets studied and their scope, deliverables). It steers searches to the right projects and shows the firm's coverage of a market, for example how many projects per segment and which leading companies it has worked with. ## Deployment and data - Runs in the firm's own Microsoft 365 or cloud tenant; client material does not leave its boundary. - Reads only the sites and folders the firm scopes. - Human review for anything the system is unsure about. - Full audit trail of extractions, redactions, approvals and use. ## Links - [Website](https://aploris.net/) - [Governance](https://aploris.net/#trust) - [How it works](https://aploris.net/#how) - [Privacy policy](https://aploris.net/#privacy) - [Legal notice](https://aploris.net/#imprint) ## Contact - Email: kartik.sundar@aploris.com - Book a call: https://calendly.com/teamslide/aploris-discussion
